The CAMA Gallery of Iranian Art, Opens A New Gallery In London

The CAMA Gallery Of Iranian Art in Teheran has become a new international market leader in Modern and Contemporary Iranian art.

Their success has been so substantial that CAMA has recently announced the opening of their new London gallery, with an inaugural exhibition of nineteen contemporary Iranian artists.

The exhibition, entitled “Sensation” is dedicated to the various works of artistic luminaries from Iran. While the works of all the artists are vastly diverse in theme and style ranging from hyper-realistic painting to calligraphy, each piece selected is focused on stimulating all the senses of the viewer.

The artists whose work are exhibited are  Bita Vakili, Meghdad Lorpour, Behrang Samadzadegan, Mojtaba Tajik, Flora Feizbakshsh, Samira Alikhanzadeh, Azra Aghighi Bakhshayeshi, Saeid Ahmadzadeh, Morteza Pourhosseini, Elham Yazdanian, Babak Roshaninejad, Ali Nedaei, Tahereh Samadi Tari, Ojan Shirozhan, Mostafa Nourbakhsh, Fereydoon Omidi, Maryam Salour, Mohsen Jamalinik and Mohammad Tabatabai.

Iranian Art Making Its Mark

Works by Iranian artists at Sotheby’s in 2017, grossed over 60% of the 2.7 million USD generated by the 20th Century Art Middle East auction. In spring 2017, works by Iranian artists produced $11,912,150 in sales from Bonham’s, Christie’s, and Sotheby’s.

CAMA Gallery aims to become a leading force in the growth and expansion of the art industry in Iran and the Middle East. It is the only gallery in London to showcase Iranian art, exclusively.

Mona Kosheghbal, CAMA’s founder is based in Iran, where she has curated many exhibitions at the Tehran gallery. Kosheghbal also provides extensive connections to the Iranian art market, playing a crucial role in CAMA’s mission to enhance cultural boundaries through the significant art exhibits, showcasing the best and brightest in the emerging world of contemporary Iranian art.
