A Turning Point Happened: Where Do We Go From Here?
Now in 2020, a global pandemic has occurred that has changed life as we know it. The world has been thrust into this extraordinary life-altering stage of transition. In locking people down in homes, slowing economies, shaking people to their core, we have been placed into a great space for stillness. This stillness has forced upon us an opportunity to reflect, take stock and reevaluate priorities. In stillness, there is an opportunity to gather energies to refocus on rebirth.
Not wanting to miss this chance, we embraced the stillness and focused energies on perfect initiating a rebirth of luxury – a Luxury Renaissance.
And so it begins… EAT LOVE SAVORⓇ declares a Luxury Revolution!
We want this renaissance to have meaning and depth of purpose so we formed an alliance with Dr. Martina Olbertova, Founder and CEO of Meaning.Global and author of The Luxury Report: Redefining The Future Meaning Of Luxury. Martina is the world’s leading authority on creating meaning in luxury. She is a brand advisor, cultural strategist, social scientist and semiotician on a mission to redefine the role of meaning in business. Her aim is to teach the industry how to lead with meaning to enhance real value creation, relevance and meaningful growth in the 21st century.
Together with friends, partners and special guests, we are leading the way forward with the vision to elevate the luxury conversation and create new knowledge. We are creating a global community of like-minded people who share the same vision with us and want to support the initiative. With our guest, in each episode, we take a deep dive into exploring a particular topic, and engage in a more in depth and richer conversation with an educational purpose. All together we are building the foundational blocks for the paradigm shift to the new luxury and facilitating the transition for a new world. Out of these conversations we will gain a richer context to pave a new way for brands, giving them actionable insights on how to take on future challenges in luxury and to elevate the overall meaning for the betterment of the entire industry.

Life as we know it has forever changed. During the time pre-COVID-19, the divide between truly understanding luxury and its shape-shifting form heavily influenced by the magpie effect of shiny objects, a distracting superficial lens taking us even farther away from ourselves and robbed luxury of meaning. Luxury had meaning in the past before it became a meritocracy. It was heavily enrobed in it, but the effects of the democracy of luxury eroded its gilding and rendered it detached from its core, rooted in humanity.
From here, we can come back to humanity, a deeper sense of self and human experience, healing, a coming back into ourselves with needed meaning and to place the meaning back into luxury. People over the past decades have become so disconnected from their senses, which is why in part luxury has turned toward vulgarity instead of sensuality. There is a great misunderstanding about the depths of the luxury lifestyle experience and all it entails. We want to add more depth and meaning to reconnect to ourselves and the world around us, injecting more feeling, emotion, enhancing people’s lives, and adding more value inside and out.
There is a tremendous opportunity in this moment and in luxury. Strip away materialism from luxury and you have a perfect vehicle that can transform the superficial to substance. Luxury mindset is the catalyst to return to meaning and return to ourselves, our humanity and how we live. Not just about brands and businesses, it’s fundamental for we are more than mere data and marketing targets, we are a people, creators, human beings and culture”.

Angela Tunner is the founder, editor in chief, creative director and publisher of EAT LOVE SAVOR® International Luxury Lifestyle Magazine. Tunner is a multidisciplinary woman. Stemming from her experience as a sous chef and manager of a fine dining restaurant manager, she sees fine food is an integral part of the luxury lifestyle, so she integrated it into the magazine. EAT LOVE SAVOR® is more than a magazine name – it is a mantra. Angela has invested over thirty years into an independent and passionate study of luxury communications and branding. She has a keen eye for luxury, understands its language, DNA, its essence and continues to study and searches the world for high-calibre luxury goods, services and experiences to share with the magazine’s readers. Driven by a passion for education and positivity in media, she takes pride in providing the best timeless, educational and enchanting reading experience possible and content written by luxury industry professionals. As a seasoned, multi-disciplined professional, she is accomplished in a wide variety of fields.
