Discover DIMORA PALANCA, 5 Star Hotel in Florence Celebrating Italian Culture and Lifestyle

This impressive property, a smart combination of classic architecture and contemporary design, has been home to famous artists and travelers since the 1800s.

Dimora Palanca is flanked by elegant villas dating from the nineteenth century and is located in one of the city’s most prestigious areas. Many of Florence’s major landmarks, such as the Basilica Santa Maria Novella, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and the Galleria dell’Accademia, are just a short walk from the hotel. The Ponte Vecchio Bridge, Palazzo Pitti, and Piazzale di Michelangelo can be found a little further afield.

Following a careful yet thorough renovation, this striking Florentine villa has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind art-inspired hotel. Dimora Palanca’s concept is to celebrate Florence’s inherent connection to the arts through five-star hospitality. Historic frescoes, original stuccoes, and a collection of contemporary art by Florentine artist Paolo Dovichi can be found throughout this exciting new hotel. The interiors are luxurious and flawlessly finished, with eye-catching examples of modern lighting, sculpture, and art.

The Chess Room, Dimora Planca

The concept for Paolo’s main collection is a modern interpretation using shiny yet invisible plexiglass plates. On display between the plexiglass plates are pieces of fabrics such as Italian velvets, silks and linen, which create abstract and minimal landscapes. These soft and enveloping shapes depict the colours of earth, water, fire and of the air.
