Innovation in Leathers Made from Fish
AITCH AITCH, a new sustainable luxury accessories brand. The debut collection is one of the first to showcase the use of salmon skin as opposed to traditional leather in the luxury goods market. The salmon skin material, a natural byproduct of organic fisheries in Europe, is then dyed and tanned by eco-friendly tanneries. Then, the material is sent to a workshop in London where master craftswomen construct and finish the bags by hand.
Durable and Ages Beautifully
The salmon skin, once finished, is surprisingly durable and ages beautifully akin to a vegetable-tanned leather. The products will be made to order upon request through the website on March 31st and pricing for the one of a kind goods ranges from $1595 to $3300.
The collection will consist of four core styles in three colors (gray, black and teal) and are all created from sustainably sourced salmon skin.
